Remembering the golden days
KPAC Lalitha said, “It was Mammootty who helped me the most while dubbing for Amaram. Not even my husband Bharadan who directed the movie, supported me as much as Mammootty did. He helped me perfect the dialect of fishermen, which was required in the movie.”
When the compere asked Mammootty to give a peck to Lalitha, the mega star embraced and gave a little kiss on the actress’s cheek. The audience was happy to witness such pure love and respect that two artists share for each other and they lauded them by giving a huge round of applause.
Veteran actor Innocent said that he always felt happy when he learned that he was to act alongside Lalitha. “My acting becomes good only when my fellow artists perform well. So I feel exited whenever I act alongside Lalitha,” said Innocent.

Sharing the memories of her intimate relationship with Thrissur, KPAC Lalitha said that though she was born in Kayamkulam and raised in Changanasserry, it was the cultural capital of Kerala which provided her stable life and a sense of security.
“Once I prayed to Guruvayoorappan to give me a husband who hails from Thrissur so that I could see the deity at Guruvayoor whenever I wanted to. Soon after that, Bharathan and I fell in love; Guruvayoorppan is witness to that. Later, we settled in Vadakkancherry and thus Thrissur became my home. Thrissur gave me everything in life and movies as well. It is my wish to remain in Thrissur till the end. I do intend to leave Thrissur at all. For me, the love and respect that I get from Thrissur is more valuable than an Oscar award,” said KPAC Lalitha.
