Prodigious Malayalam actress Parvathy was at her imperial best when she was seen along with the team of the upcoming Irrfan Khan-starrer, Qarib Qarib Singlle, to address mediapersons, in Mumbai recently.
During her turn on stage, after she was introduced to the audience, Parvathy said, ""Ellavarkkum ente namaskaram."
Even after the presenter interrupted to remind her that she was in Mumbai, she persisted asking 'entha... (what?)'
She then switched over to the Hindi with no visible change in her facial expression and continued in perfect Hindi and English, "Maaf keejiega, dhodi aadat si pad gayi hai, bahut saalon se... thakreeban ten years se mein Malayalam mein baat karti aayi hum... toh..."
However, it is not clear whether she was just feigning ignorance about the kind of audience she was speaking to or she was inadvertently speaking in Malayalam. Anyways, she carried herself majestically through the session and smartly communicated and shared her experience.
Asked about acting alongside Irrfan Khan she said that it was a 'herculean task to match up to his level of acting.'
Irrfan Khan too stole the hearts with his quirky comments and witty quips at the press meet. Meanwhile, Tanuja Chandra, the director of the film, explained the subject, title and the theme of the film.
However, it was Kamna Chandra, story writer and mother of Tanuja Chandra, who stole the show during the presentation. The veteran writer of the Raj Kapoor film Prem Rog and Rishi Kapoor-starrer Chandini, while talking about story, had almost revealed the crux of the film.
Sujay Kutty, business head of Zee Studios, and Gazal Dhaliwal were also among those present at the promo event.
