Long lost UP boy reunited with family

Kottarakkara: It was an emotional moment for Uttar Pradesh native Liaquat Ali, who was reunited with his long lost teenage son Armaan Ali after eight years. It was Ashraya refuge home at Kalayapuram that made the reunion possible.

Armaan was found wandering on the streets by the Kulathupuzha police back in 2009. They took him to Ashraya, which sheltered him until his father and other relatives arrived. It was after a long and vigorous search that Armaan’s native place and parents were traced. The second of the five children of Liaquat Ali and Satul Beevi, Armaan was handed over to his relatives by Ashraya general secretary Kalayapuram Jose after completing all official procedures.

Those who accompanied Liaquat Ali from Uttar Pradesh included Armaan’s brother-in-law Shereef Ahmed and a social worker, S M Ahmed.

While leaving for his hometown, Armaan did not forget to thank the workers and promised to visit them again.
