Katie Holmes to showcase at NY fashion week

New York: Newly divorced actress Katie Holmes is set to present her clothing line Holmes & Yang at the upcoming New York Fashion Week.
The 33-year-old will show in front of the biggest names in the fashion industry on September 9 at the Lincoln Center, reported New York Post online.
"This is a big deal for Katie to show in the tents, under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of the media scrutiny," a source said.
The 'Batman Begins' star founded Holmes & Yang with design partner Jeanne Yang in 2009.
"They could have done a small show elsewhere, so this proves she and Jeanne are very serious about their business," the source added.
The ready-to-wear line is stocked in exclusive boutiques including Barneys in New York and Harvey Nichols in London.
Holmes has previously described her collection as basics with a twist to suit everyone from "rock stars to heads of state".
The star is concentrating on her career following her recent divorce from Hollywood star Tom Cruise.
