Ready-to-eat Payasams launched during onam

Kochi: Foraying into the Ready-to-eat segment, South India's leading food brand, Double Horse-Manjilas, Thursday launched 'Ready-to-eat' Payasams in three variants.

The products made from ingridients that are hygenically processed and packed using state-of-the art technology to retain the natural taste and flavours, would be available in 3 variants - Rice Ada, Vermacilli and wheat and have a one year shelf life. The range would be available at all leading food stores, supermarkets and grocery stores, Company chairman, Renji John, told reporters here.

The company was eyeing a turnover of rs 200 crore this year against last year's rs 120 crore, he said.

Double Horse enjoys a strong market presence across India and also exports products to the Middle East, USA, Australia, Canada, Singapore, South Africa and European countries.

Its range of products include rice, rice products, wheat products, spice powders, curry powders made using 'perfect blend technology' condiments, curry mixes, ready-to-cook mixes, reat-to-eat range, health food, pickles without added preservatives, vegetables in brine, coconut products and ready-to-eat traditional deserts. Film actress and dancer Shobana, who is the brand ambassador, launched the product.
