Who doesn’t love carrot halwa with ice cream? But did you know that the original “gajar ka halwa” came from Punjab?
Ingredients 
01. Milk - 5 cups
02. Condensed milk - 1 tin
03. Carrots (grated) - ¾ cups
04. Sugar - 125 g
05. Ghee  - 75 g
06. Cashew nuts and raisins (each) - 30 g
07. Cardamom (powdered) - ½ tsp
Preparation 

01. Cook the grated carrots with the milk.
02. Lower flame and cook till all the milk condenses.
03. Now add the condensed milk and sugar, stirring occasionally. This takes about 25-30 minutes to cook.

04. Add the ghee and mix for about 10 more minutes. Now its time for the cardamom powder. Take from fire, pour out into serving dish and decorate with the cashew nuts and raisins.

05. Serve with ice cream.
