Location: Near Kochi, Ernakulam district.

A scenic island near the city of Kochi. The Bolghatty Palace built by the Dutch in 1744 is its chief attraction.

This palace, once the residence of the British Resident of Kochi, is now a KTDC (Kerala Tourism Development Corporation)  run hotel.

There is a mini golf course to boot. Also known as "The Queen of the Arabian Sea", Kochi has emerged over the years as the commercial capital of the state.

Today it is the most cosmopolitan city in the state and is a popular shopping centre.

Getting there: There are regular ferry services from Kochi. Nearest railway station: Ernakulam Junction, about 2 km.Nearest airport: Cochin International Airport, about 20 km.
