Oscar nominations for Rahman and Sreevalsan J.Menon

Kottayam: The legendary music director A.R.Rahman has once again bagged another Oscar nomination . The list of 85th Oscar award nominations contains the name of Rahman for his original score in the movie 'People Like Us'.
Rahman won the Oscar awards in 2009 for the Hollywood movie 'Slumdog Millionaire' , directed by Danny Boyle and became the first Indian to win such a prestigious award for music composition. The music maestro was again nominated for the Academy awards in 2011 for the movie '127 hours'.
Though it has been an annual affair for Rahman, Sreevalsan J.Menon, a notable music director from Kerala, has been surprised by the Oscar nomination for his music in the movie 'Saint Dracula' directed by Roopesh Paul. The two prodigies are in contention with 104 other composers for the final list of nominations. The final list will be published on 10 February and the award ceremony will be on 24 February, 2013.
