Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), one of the leading shipbuilding and ship-repair companies in the country, organized ‘LAGHU UDYOG EXPO-2017,' a two-day national-level vendor development program-cum industrial exhibition and B2B meeting with the active support of Department of Industry and Commerce, Government of Kerala and MSME Development Institute, Thrissur.
The event, at Marine Drive, Ernakulam, was aimed at bringing together MSMEs which could deliver high-quality products of international standards at competitive costs. Kerala industries minister A.C. Moideen inaugurated the function.
The event provided a platform for MSMEs to showcase their products/services and to interact with prospective clients. Major central and state PSUs and all major banks also took part in the event. As many as 80 stalls and 10 B2B meet counters/rooms were set up at Marine Drive.
Cochin Shipyard chairman & managing director Madhu S. Nair said the event should not be relegated as a mere exhibition. The industries minister said the interactive program would enable the MSMEs to find opportunities and identify potential product development and opportunities, the
